Coming back into the room

If today’s words are ones you want to sit with again, you’ll find them here — just as they were spoken. Read them slowly. Return to them whenever you need.

The Opening

Hi. It’s Sayamol.

Before we do anything — just stop for a second. You don’t have to get anything right here. You don’t have to journal perfectly or feel something profound or do this the way you think you’re supposed to. You just have to be here. That’s enough for today.

So wherever you are — sitting, lying down, in your car before you walk into the rest of your day — let your shoulders drop. You’ve been holding them up for a while.

— pause —

Take a breath with me. In… and let it go. One more. In… and out. Notice you don’t have to perform that either. Nobody’s watching. It’s just you and me, and I’m not here to fix you. There’s nothing to fix.

Here’s the truth I want to start with: there’s nothing wrong with you. I know you might have started to wonder. But there isn’t. You’re tired. There’s a difference. You’ve been carrying a version of yourself that takes a lot of energy to hold up — and you’ve held it up so well, for so long, that you may have forgotten there was ever another way to be.

— pause —

Have you ever noticed how much of your day you spend… managing? Reading the room. Adjusting. Being who the moment needs you to be. You’re good at it. You learned it for a reason. But underneath all that adjusting is a you that doesn’t have to do any of it. That’s who we’re here for.

— pause —

Let’s take one more breath together. Breathe in love… and breathe out what no longer serves you. Breathe in your authentic self… and breathe out who you had to be.

We’ll come back to this tomorrow.

— pause —

So just for today, I’m not going to ask you to change anything. I only want you to notice one thing. Through your day — when you’re talking to someone, when you’re alone, when you say yes, when you go quiet — see if you can catch the small gap. The space between what you actually feel… and what you show. You don’t have to do anything about it. You don’t have to close it. Just notice it’s there.

— pause —

That gap isn’t a flaw. It’s information. It’s the first clue on the way home.

We have seven days. This is just the first one. You don’t have to arrive anywhere today. You just have to begin. And you already have — you pressed play. And today… that’s enough.

Now take the next page slowly. I’ll meet you at the end of the day.

The Closing

You spent today noticing the gap. That’s not a small thing. Most people spend their whole lives living inside it without ever realizing it’s there.

Today… you saw it. That’s enough for today.

Tomorrow, we look at the exact moment you step across.
